What are the different types of Sliding window repairs?

We do sliding window repairs to Aluminium and Timber windows. The most common is Aluminium since most homes built after the 1970's had aluminium. However we still do a lot of timber sliding window repairs.

Are sliding window repairs good enough, or is it better to get them replaced?

If the window can be repaired then I would defiantly go with a sliding window repair. Most sliding windows can be repaired.

I have an average sized three bedroom house with aluminium windows which need a sliding window repair will this take very long?

We can generally do all the sliding window repairs to an average sized house in less than one day.

Can I do my own sliding window repairs or is it better to get a tradesman to do them?

If you use a tradesman to do your sliding window repairs you will get a better job which will save you money in the long run.

Our sliding windows are very difficult to open because they scrape and scratch and make a horribly noise. I need a sliding window repair, that's for sure! But can they be repaired? Can new rollers be fitted to the window?

The most common sliding window repair involves the removal and refitting of new rollers. We can replace the window rollers on both aluminium and timber sliding windows.

When I open and close my sliding window it makes so much noise that it wakes my baby. I really need a window repair as soon as possible or maybe a new window.

The window is usually noisy because the sliding window rollers have worn out, such that the moving part is coming into contact with the frame. We can replace the sliding window rollers and that should make the window quiet.

My sliding window needs repair because it will not lock when I shut it. Will a sliding window repair replacing the rollers enable me to lock the window securely?

Yes, the window may not be locking properly because the sliding rollers have collapsed. This prevents the lock from lining up properly. A sliding window repair which involves window roller replacement will fix this problem.

I need my kitchen window to open and close properly when I am cooking but It keeps jamming, so I need a sliding window repair if possible. Can this be done?

I agree that ventilation in the kitchen especially at cooking time is very important. We can usually fix this sort of problem with a sliding window repair.

My sliding door rollers are worn-out and the sliding door track is scratched a bit. Can you repair the sliding door track as well?

Yes we can of course replace the door rollers. We also carry twelve different sliding door tracks in the vans which we have especially made to suite all the different designed sliding doors. We determine what track is best for each particular job and then we fit that sliding door track.

When I slide my window closed it makes a loud bang everybody can hear. will your sliding window repair be able to fix that?

The reason your window is making a loud bang is because you have to push it hard to get it to move and then, when it is sliding fast, it stops when it bangs into the frame causing the loud noise. A sliding window repair involving the replacement of the window rollers would mean that you would not have to push the window so hard to get it to move and so it would not close so fast and bang into the frame.

Testimonials

"I've had problems with a sliding door ever since my wife and I moved into our home three years ago. But it grew worse until I had great difficulty opening the door itself. In desperation, I phoned Adsafe Doors and to my pleasant surprise they came out the very next day!

They diligently and thoroughly disassembled the door and replaced all the broken and worn parts. An hour or so later the door was working perfectly. Yes, it was expensive, but it was worth it. Adsafe Door's has given me a sliding door that will work beautifully for years and because I don't have to replace it with a new door, they saved me thousands of dollars in the process.

Congratulations"
